Here at the VA, literally getting my Xolair shots as I’m typing lol. For those that don’t know, Xolair is meant to help for severe asthma. Just started a month ago, so IDK how they’ll work until a few months from now
It took a year for me to see good results.
A year? Dr told me 4 months. Ohh well, I’ll talk to him about it and see what happens. Thank you for telling me.
Mine said 6 months at first. Then after a few shots she said maybe a year. For me it was a year.
I’m a veteran, how severe is your asthma. Imma see if they will give it to me.
In order to get the Xolair shots, it has to be really bad or they won’t approve them. Even then, my Dr wasn’t sure if would’ve been approved, because the shots are very expensive. Over $3000 each and you get two shots a month, so around $7K that the VA has pay for.
I have Fasenra shots and since i started 3 months ago I have not had an attack. Feel great.
I’m severe persistent asthma. There was a blood test for IgE to determine my dose.
