Special needs Mom Needs Balance

Hello everyone, I’m new here.
I’m a mommy of special needs baby with multiple health conditions. He is 6 months old, I also have a 18 month old baby and a 15 year old son.
It has been so difficult for me to find balance after 3 month hospital stay of our little one. Managing care for him, dealing with medical suppliers, multiple specialists to follow up, therapies, prescriptions, medical equipment at home since he is on oxygen and has a feeding tube.
I’m into tons of stress, lack of sleep and can’t keep up with household chores.
I need balance, i need help with the household cleaning, etc… Low income family so can’t afford a maid.
I need more time with My other 2 boys and husband and time for my self to keep my sanity.
Any suggestions? Any advice?
Deeply appreciate it!
Thank you!

Some churches have volunteers to help. Some health care agencies have respite care to help with complex health kids. Does your child see palliative care? They try to help minimize discomfort from disease processes. They sometimes have access to people who supply respite.

In our area (northwest Ohio) there is a children’s home for special needs children that has a respite wing. Parents can drop their special needs children off for a fee hours, a day or longer if needed. The home was founded by a Christian couple who had a special needs child themselves, and initially realized / understood that not everyone can care for their special needs child / children at home. Then after a period of time they realized more and more parents wanted to care for their own child / children but just need a break now and then. Is there anything like that around you? Initially, they were privately funded, but back when I worked there thru college they decided to get Federal funding to give parents more aid options in paying for whatever care they chose. I hope you can find something like this near you.

Two weeks passed since your question, I hope you have made some progress in finding help. You received good advice I think, it may take a minute to get help but it is out there, don’t give up.
