Is this a relapse?

Hello all.

I have MS diagnosed 2010, but there are many doubts that it started earlier by 2 to 3 years.

I started treatment with Gilenya in late 2018, because I was diagnosed with Major depressive disorder, and all treatment options like injection would exacerbate depression, and I was also afraid to start taking Gilenya because of it’s side effects.

I was very stable, no relapses, no depression for about 1 year and 6 months till now.

I have symptoms like a relapse, like persistent tingling at the right angle of my mouth.
But as I’m currently in issues with my manager which I escalated legally, my doctor said it’s just a pseudo relapse due to tension at work environment.
I know he said that because of my psychological history of depression and OCD.

But I’m afraid this is a relapse because it’s persistence for a week now.

Thanks.

Sounds like it could be either. However, does it really matter? Would they treat it even as a relapse? I usually do not get treatment for numbness and tingling. However, I empathize with your depression. Have you got a case manager or someone who can help you with coping skills for your depression? 🙏🙏🙏
