with the medication that we have to take. Does anyone know of a safe diet I could maybe try that wouldn’t counteract with my seizure medication. I am on Lamictal,2 times Cymbalta only at night and lorazepam 1 time a day ?

I’m doing the we diet. It’s easy and convenient to do. Online and keeping up w the choices we choose. I’ve lost 5 pounds in about a month. I’m happy w this instead of alot and gaining back. I’m not on seizure meds but pain meds and more…

Melody,
Look up low fodmap diet or The Mediterranean diet. My Dr suggested both of these so try one or the other. I ha a moderate to severe non-alcoholic fatty liver. Let me know which one you choose to do 😊

I think your Dr and Pharmacist should be able to tell you what foods to avoid, those that may interact with your meds. I was on some of the meds you mentioned but did not have any dirt diet restrictions. Grapefruit can be an issue with some medication but not being medically trained, dont feel I am in a position to recommend a diet one way or another. The 2 specialist I mentioned should be able to tell you what you should and shouldn’t eat, there are medical websites that might be helpful as well. If you are looking for a diet to lose weight, I would avoid what may increase or decrease the effects of yours meds and find one that you can work with. Dieting to lose weight can be difficult and usually requires changes in lifestyles for long term loss without the yo-yo effect that a lot of people have by “being goid” during diet time and returning to old habits which will 99 times out of a hundred times will result in landing back where you started. I hope this is helpful in someway. Best wishes for finding the diet that works for you (and meds).

Plant based food.

What is the we diet?

You are so right about the diet/lifestyle change.
Many years I got rid of 35lbs. I kept it off for at least 3 years. Then I went back to drinking soda, and stuff, rather than water. Along with Fibromyalgia, which also causes you to gain weight. Now I am heavier than I I have ever been (more than 9 months pregnant).
I am trying to talk myself into going back to that lifestyle. I seriously need to get back down to a reasonable weight. It would help my health so much. I would also be happier.
I just have to get my determination back. This is hard to do, with depression and anxiety.
Please pray for me.

I will. Nothing comes easy in this life. During this virus outbreak it can be tempting to snack and get lazy. I think most are struggling with what’s happening here and the rest of the world.
Its never too late to start again.

I have tried many, but due to my ba k and leg issues along w my neck it’s not easy to be as active as they’d like. Ww is good

Im on Cymbalta, Wellbutrin, klonopin, Lamictal, Risperdal & several others I can’t think of right now. My rheumatologist has recommend the Autoimmune protocol diet (AIP). I haven’t tried it yet but maybe you could look its up & see if it will work for you. Good Luck!

My fiance says no grapefruit it will enhance certain types of medication

Tuna will help you with your seizures. I didn’t believe it either but I tried it and it really works. I know this is not a diet but thought you might appreciate the thought. Good luck.

I just know that Caffeine is a no no for me, as well as Vit B6. Not necessarily what you were wanting, but thought I would throw it out there. Good luck

Forgot My neurologist was going to put me on the Adkins diet. He said he had patients also have luck with there seizures on this one.
